The Austin College community is saddened to learn of the death on June 26 of senior trustee Linda Morris Elsey. Mrs. Elsey’s friendship, her guidance as a member of the board, and her generous philanthropy to Austin College leave a lasting legacy at the College.

Remembering Rebekah Bowden

The Austin College community is extremely saddened today to learn of the death of senior Rebekah Bowden of Flint, Texas, following a single vehicle accident in Sherman. A graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Flint, Texas. Rebekah was a leader on the Austin College women’s volleyball team.

A service to celebrate her life will be held in the Wynne Chapel of Austin College in Sherman, Tuesday, February 20 at 7 pm. A reception in the Small Chapel will follow the service. Read the full obituary.
